PREVIEW: SHEFFIELD v PETERBOROUGH (Prem)
PETERBOROUGH visit Sheffield tonight (Thursday) looking to further reel in Premiership leaders Wolverhampton after their win at Monmore on Monday.
The Panthers are six points behind the Wolves with three matches remaining, the final two of which are both at home next week.
Sheffield have booked their play-off place and could still finish third, and bring back James Wright for a guest appearance at reserve in place of the man who replaced him earlier in the summer – Stefan Nielsen, who is now on the injury list.
The Panthers have Thomas Jorgensen guesting for Ulrich Ostergaard at No.1 whilst Connor Mountain stands in at reserve for Jordan Palin.
Peterborough boss Rob Lyon said: “We move onto Owlerton now and see what we can get from Sheffield, but even though we have already won there once this season I’m taking nothing for granted.
“There’s still a lot of speedway to be raced and we have to take it one meeting at a time. That said, I want to see us do our very best to win these final three meetings and finish top of the table.
“I haven’t even thought about who we may select if we finish top, the only time I will think about that is if we get the job done.”
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Troy Batchelor, Kyle Howarth, Josh Pickering, Adam Ellis, Danyon Hume, James Wright.
PETERBOROUGH: Thomas Jorgensen, Bjarne Pedersen, Michael Palm Toft, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Connor Mountain, Hans Andersen.
