PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v SHEFFIELD (Prem)
KING’S Lynn race the final home meeting of a difficult campaign when they take on play-off qualifiers Sheffield tonight (Thursday).
The Stars have won just once at the Adrian Flux Arena and have booked former favourite Michael Palm Toft to take the place of the injured Richard Lawson at No.1.
They also plan to make a positive announcement concerning the 2022 season during the evening.
Co-promoter Dale Allitt said: “It’s no secret that we are already looking towards next year and have been for some weeks now.
“This is the final opportunity for fans to come along and enjoy live speedway at the Adrian Flux Arena this season.
“Our announcement will be something we want our loyal fans to hear about first when they are at the meeting and we look forward to seeing everyone for one final time this year.”
Meanwhile Tigers boss Simon Stead is urging a response from Monday’s collapse at Belle Vue, where they went down 54-36. Jack Thomas guests at No.7 for the injured Stefan Nielsen.
Stead said: “I was bitterly disappointed after Belle Vue, and I want to see a response at King’s Lynn.
“We’ve qualified for the play-offs, but we are going to need to show an improvement going forward if we are to make any impact.
“It’s tough for us because we have lost some strength in reserve with the injury to Stefan, but we still have enough quality in the rest of the side to win meetings.”
KING’S LYNN: Michael Palm Toft, Ben Barker, Erik Riss, Lewi Kerr, Thomas Jorgensen, Connor Mountain, Kasper Andersen.
