PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v KING’S LYNN (Prem)

PREMIERSHIP leaders Wolverhampton look to consolidate their position when they host King’s Lynn at Monmore tonight (Monday).

Wolves lead Peterborough by nine points with two home matches remaining, whilst the Panthers have three fixtures in hand – meaning their clash in the West Midlands next week could be pivotal in the race for top spot ahead of the play-offs.

Wolves hope to return to full strength pending a late fitness test on Nick Morris with his leg injury, whilst Broc Nicol reverts to reserve as Ryan Douglas moves back into the main body of the side.

Douglas said: “Monmore is proving to be a fortress and we definitely want to keep that going because we’re unbeaten there this year with riders like Sam (Masters), Luke Becker and even Nick (Morris) are hard to beat around there.

“This year Sam is on another level and he doesn’t drop many points around anywhere, so it’s awesome to have him at No.1 for Wolves, and it sets an example for the rest of us which gives you a bit of confidence when you can go out there knowing he’s won Heat 1.”

King’s Lynn’s Erik Riss said: “We will go to Wolverhampton and do our best to win the meeting as we always do. It’s disappointing we have nothing but pride to ride for but we owe our fans a good performance.”

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Nick Morris, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Broc Nicol, Leon Flint.
KING’S LYNN: Richard Lawson, Ben Barker, Erik Riss, Lewis Kerr, Thomas Jorgensen, Connor Mountain, Kasper Andersen.
