GLADIATORS MOVE FOR LAWSON

PLYMOUTH have moved quickly to sign Richard Lawson following the withdrawal of Championship rivals Eastbourne from this year’s competition.

Lawson comes in for the Gladiators at the expense of Jason Edwards and is set to make his debut at Leicester on Saturday.

Promoter Mark Phillips said: “I’m delighted that Richard is joining us for the remainder of the season. He is an exciting rider and will bring even more experience to the team.

“He has already guested for us on a few occasions so knows our set-up well. We have now been able to construct the team around actual averages instead of assessed ones.”
