PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v POOLE (Champ)
EDINBURGH host Championship leaders Poole in a big clash of play-off contenders at Armadale tonight (Friday).
The Pirates are five points ahead of the Monarchs with two matches in hand after the league table was revised.
The hosts make two changes with Richie Worrall and Luke Crang ruled out. Worrall was due to be replaced by Nick Morris but he was concussed on Thursday; whilst Drew Kemp replaces Crang.
Edinburgh boss Alex Harkess said: “Amongst the Pirates, Rory (Schlein) and Steve Worrall are riders who we always associate with our club since they did so much when they were here.
“I welcome them and their team-mates, but exactly as with Scott Nicholls last week, it’s a warm welcome but I hope you don’t have too good a night! I’d like to believe that for once we will do what we should be doing at home.”
Poole promoter Danny Ford said: “We will be going there on Friday looking to consolidate our position at the top of the table. Nothing changes from when we were originally due to go there, except that we will be at full strength this time around.
“As I have said previously, we must ensure that we keep the pressure on throughout the meetings. We have been left wanting in that quarter this season, especially away from home and teams have taken advantage of that fault.”
EDINBURGH: Sam Masters, William Lawson, Kye Thomson, Josh Pickering, TBC, Drew Kemp, Nathan Greaves.
POOLE: Rory Schlein, Benjamin Basso, Steve Worrall, Stefan Nielsen, Danny King, Ben Cook, Danyon Hume.
