PREVIEW: PETERBOROUGH v WOLVERHAMPTON (Prem)

PETERBOROUGH and Wolverhampton meet in a big top-two Premiership clash at the East of England Arena tonight (Monday).

Victory will ensure the Panthers’ play-off place – which will also be secured if King’s Lynn lose at Belle Vue – and would also keep the race for first place alive ahead of the play-offs.

Wolves enter the meeting with a seven-point lead at the top of the table and have won their last nine matches, with their last defeat coming on their last visit to Alwalton in mid-June.

The Panthers bring in Danny King to guest for the injured Ulrich Ostergaard at No.1, with the teams otherwise at full strength.

Peterborough youngster Jordan Palin said: “They aren’t a team to take lightly because we know they have got some big hitters and good reserves, so hopefully we can put up a good fight getting those three points.

“I think the Panthers have proven this season that we aren’t a team to mess with, so hopefully we can hit them from Heat 1 and take it all the way with some good racing.”

Wolves boss Peter Adams said: “We have to be pleased with the way things are going right now, but we can’t afford to take our foot off the gas.

“It should be a cracking match between two great teams and Peterborough is one of the best venues in British Speedway, so it has all the ingredients.”

PETERBOROUGH: Danny King, Bjarne Pedersen, Michael Palm Toft, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Jordan Palin, Hans Andersen.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Broc Nicol, Nick Morris, Luke Becker, Rory Schlein, Ryan Douglas, Leon Flint.
