HOOK COMPLETES ACADEMY
EDINBURGH’S Jacob Hook will be on double duty with the club this season as he has joined the Armadale outfit’s National Development League side.
Hook will spearhead the Monarchs Academy alongside Kyle Bickley, with both riders also lining up for Edinburgh in the Cab Direct Championship. Hook became eligible for the NDL as the league is now open to a limited number of UK-based Commonwealth riders.
Academy manager Scott Wilson said: “The slight relaxation of the rules is fantastic news for Jacob and for us as a club.
“It gives the Academy side another top rider in the league who will push Kyle all the way for the No.1 race jacket and gives Jacob an additional 14 meetings on his calendar.
“At this stage of his development, it is all about track time and the more of that he can get in a competitive environment the better. Jacob is a terrific signing for the Academy.”
